not your "typical" sports bar
“I haven’t seen a better business than the restaurant business. You earn through fulfilling people’s appetites, needs, and dreams.” - Unknown
For Michael Poulakidas and Ron Woerman, partners in Spartan Ale House, this quote rings true.
“We love the restaurant business simply because of this fact – every day when we open those doors, we get the chance to feed people really good food that makes them feel better. We design our spaces to ensure everyone who walks in feels comfortable and welcome,” Michael says. “We get one shot at it, and we take it seriously.”
In 2016, the partners opened the first Spartan Ale House in Aurora. Five years later, they found a second home for their modern sports bar, opening off Rt. 59 in Naperville.
The sports bars are fondly referred to by some as ‘not your average sports bar,’ because guests can come for excellent food and drinks in a warm, relaxed setting and choose to watch the game on one of our many high-def TVs.
“For me, there’s no other business like it,” Ron explains. “It’s more than just offering excellent food. It’s about building a community within the walls…and then extending the support beyond them. For us, we believe we are only as successful and the community around us.”
Spartan Ale House offers a variety of carefully crafted dishes, like hand-breaded calamari, salads and wraps, pizzas, wings, steaks, pasta, and seafood. Pair this with excellent wine, beer, and cocktail list, and you have the makings of an excellent meal.
With a passion for community and a desire to make people happy, Michael and Ron invite you to relax and spend the day or evening enjoying great food and drink and the people you’re with.
